Mobile Internet Keeps Advancing

Today’s Mobile phones offer far more than just voice and text messages

Majority of today’s cellular phones are capable of taking pictures or playing music; some even enable accessing the internet. People in our department are working on development of services related to mobile portals and services which enable people accessing internet from their mobile phones.

O2 mobile portal

We provide new ways of accessing internet for our customers - from any point at any time. This is possible primarily through O2 mobile portal and its specialized form - Mobile Internet Portal which is designed for customers who have internet phones and at the same time use our data plan “Internet do mobilu”. Our goal is to make it possible for our customers to access internet from their mobile phone as easily as from their PC.

It is not enough to invent new products, somebody also needs to develop them and take care of them

Our team dedicates most of its time to development of new products, but we also need to take care of what was already invented. That is why we cooperate very closely with our Product Managers who are responsible for day to day management of already existing portals.

We communicate across whole Telefónica group, within Europe and beyond

One of the advantages of a multinational corporation is the opportunity to share experiences with colleagues from other countries. We are in everyday contact with colleagues from all around the world - Europe or Latin America. We communicate by telephone, e-mail or teleconferences.

Open space - environment which supports team spirit

Our work is not only team dependent but also very turbulent. Open space is perfect environment for us because shared problem is only half problem and shared joy is double joy. We all have interesting job with plenty of issues which need to be solved in a debate. We share new ideas as well as everyday problems. It is true that some of our colleagues from “more quiet” teams must be very tolerant with us sometimes.

Inventing and implementing new products is not for everybody

Our team is primarily focused on Product Management and Product Development but we have two Project Managers in our team as well. And what should the ideal candidate for our team be like? It needs to be somebody with creative personality, who is willing to learn new things quickly and all the time, team player, who is opened to new and uncommon ways of doing things and also somebody who is capable of transforming ideas into new services and products.
